Lengthening yes, thickening.... not really
I like that Jane Iredale is a cleaner brand. I use this as an everyday wear mascara. I like brown colour for an everyday natural look over black which can feel a bit heavy.
I can see there's little fibers which definitely help with lengthening. The fibers can malt sometimes, it hasn't caused a mess but is a little annoying.
I'm not sure if it is the formulation or the brush but it doesn't really thicken. Perhaps its my technique? I've used it a few times now but haven't really seen a 'thickening' effect.
The brush is big and I feel like my lashes aren't going through the brush enough to pick up enough product.
The upside is that there's no clumping! I'll continue to use as my everyday wear mascara.

Hi Josephine,
Thank you so much for sharing your detailed thoughts on the Jane Iredale Longest Lash Thickening and Lengthening Mascara! It’s great to hear that you're enjoying it as an everyday mascara, especially with the natural look of the brown shade and the cleaner formulation Jane Iredale is known for.
It sounds like the formula is providing some nice lengthening benefits with the fibres, though I understand how they can occasionally be a bit tricky. If you're not seeing as much of a thickening effect, it could indeed be partially due to technique or the brush type, as the larger, fluffy brush can sometimes deposit less product with a single pass. Here are a couple of tips that might help maximise the thickening effect:
Layering Technique: Try applying a second coat by gently wiggling the brush from root to tip in a zig-zag motion, which can help deposit more product and add more volume. Let the first coat dry slightly before applying the second coat for added thickness.
Focus on the Base: Concentrate more product toward the base of your lashes by pressing the brush into the roots before sweeping up. This technique can create the appearance of fuller, thicker lashes.
Consider a Primer: If you’re open to adding another product, a lash primer can add extra thickness and help the mascara adhere more evenly. Jane Iredale’s PureLash Lash Extender & Conditioner is a great clean option to boost thickness naturally before applying mascara.
We're so glad you're finding it clump-free, and we hope these tips enhance your experience! Please feel free to reach out anytime if you have more questions or if there’s anything else we can help with. 😊
