Before we get to your anti-acne routine using this super powerful range, let's understand why we get acne.

Acne is an inflammatory response, seen in the form of red, inflamed breakouts that may have a pustular head, congestion, blackheads, or whiteheads.

A breakout is a result of a blockage or infection of the pilosebaceous unit (composed of a hair follicle, arrector pili muscle, and sebaceous gland).

Blockage in the follicle creates an anaerobic environment, which means there isn't any oxygen within the pilosebaceous unit. This is where C-Acne and proliferation occur. The skin responds to the infection by creating inflammation. This can be red, sore, swollen breakouts, or pumps.

When you receive this inflammatory response, the three main imbalances to allow acne to form in the skin are:

1 - Quality of sebum (oil) - Sebum should have a watery consistency, but in acne prone skins, you will find the sebum has more of a consistency of custard or cottage cheese. This leads to blockages of the pilosebaceous unit (hair follicle) and lesion formation.
